Ieri pomeriggio a Kharkiv (o Kharkov, come dicono in Russia), in Ucraina, si è tenuta una conferenza stampa (durata circa 45’) atta a presentare il concerto che i Queen e Paul Rodgers terranno questa sera nella grandissima Indipendence Square.

Come è trapelato già tempo fa, non si tratta della prima vera data della tournée, ma di uno show a scopo benefico, atto a raccogliere fondi per sostenere la lotta all’AIDS in Ucraina.

A questo proposito, la band ha rivelato che la scaletta prevede prevalentemente classici dei Queen e di Paul Rodgers, mentre le canzoni dal nuovo album saranno al massimo tre. Tuttavia, nel corso delle passate settimane, la band ha avuto modo di provare tutti i brani di The Cosmos Rocks, pertanto è lecito aspettarsi variazioni nella scaletta della tournée vera e propria, che inizierà il 15 settembre a Mosca.

Il concerto di questa sera fungerà anche da “special” per gli USA. Restando in tema di Stati Uniti, pare inoltre che la band non abbia per il momento intenzione di proseguire la tournée altrove (magari in Asia), mentre la data di Dubai pare non sia stata ancora confermata nei dettagli.
