La data di pubblicazione prevista resta fissata per l'8 settembre, sta di fatto che il nuovo singolo della band è già disponibile nei negozi italiani (che normalmente "ricevono" le novità il venerdì).

Considerato l'anticipo rispetto alla data prevista, resta da interpretare la scelta della EMI Italy di POSTICIPARE l'uscita dell'album di quattro giorni, come già annunciato in precedenza in questo blog.

Ad ogni modo, ecco una scansione del vinile del singolo.

In questi giorni, oltre a vari articoli apparsi su diverse riviste musicali (Rolling Stone, Mojo, Jam ed altri), sono apparsi i primi, convincenti articoli sui quotidiani italiani. 

Curioso che la pubblicazione avvenga proprio nel giorno del compleanno di Freddie Mercury (avrebbe oggi compiuto 62 anni). Un bel modo di ricordare il passato, guardando al futuro.

La "title track" (o quasi...). Il primo brano del disco! Ne avevamo sentito una brevissima anteprima mesi fa, in quel piccolo spot inglese che promuoveva il tour. Ora possiamo conoscerne un'altro pezzetto.

A mitigare parzialmente l'amarezza dei fans italiani, che avranno ora sette giorni di tempo in meno per poter "studiare" i nuovi brani in attesa dei concerti, giunge una notizia interessante per chi non vede l'ora di conoscere The Cosmos Rocks.

In questa pagina infatti è ora possibile ascoltare e pre-ordinare (al costo di 99 cents di sterline ciascuno) ogni singolo brano tratto dall'album. Le anteprime durano 30 secondi per tutti e 14 i brani inclusi nella tracklist.

Non è tanto, ma è meglio di nulla.

EMI Italy ha annunciato che la pubblicazione dell'album è stata posticipata al 19 settembre.

Pertanto, questa è un'altra ragione per cui i fans italiani non dovrebbero mancare alla première di The Cosmos Rocks" a cura del We Will Rock You Fan Club, in programma a Milano il 10 settembre.

Ci saranno anche magliette dedicate all'evento in edizione limitata, alcuni video esclusivi, un libretto in edizione speciale con i testi in inglese e traduzione in italiano e persino la possibilità di vincere 1 o 2 pass per il backstage dei concerti fissati in Italia.

Non sono state rivelate le motivazioni del rinvio. È tuttavia da sottolineare il fatto che l'album verrà pubblicato in almeno tre date diverse nel mondo: 15 settembre, 19 settembre (Italia) e 28 ottobre (USA e Canada).

Non ci resta che attendere, con ancora maggiore trepidazione!

Il primo dei due concerti italiani, in programma al Palalottomatica di Roma, è fissato ad appena 7 giorni dalla data di pubblicazione dell'album.
